Federal Education Ministry Embark on Transforming Islamabad Colleges into IT Skills Training Hubs

The Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Mr. Mohyuddin A Wani, met with Principals of all degree colleges in Islamabad to discuss transformative initiatives to convert these institutions into high-impact evening IT institutions. This program is sponsored by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). Under the umbrella of this program, technologically advanced universities, including NUST, NUML, COMSAT, and National Skills University Islamabad, will initially offer high-tech IT training for 1000 students. Initially offered training certificates are in the area of Game Development, AI, Data Science, and Blockchain technologies. We will introduce additional courses highly relevant to the job market in the near future, said the Federal Secretary. 

During the training session, the Federal Secretary MoFE&PT informed college Principals that this initiative will completely transform their digital infrastructure and connectivity. The government aims to transform these colleges into state-of-the-art centers of excellence in IT education.

This initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing the IT education landscape in Islamabad and fostering a skilled workforce aligned with the demands of the digital age.
