The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls offer financial support to Pakistani women for graduate studies at any Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university in Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government, the scholarships aim to improve women's access to higher education and enable them to pursue their goals and ambitions.

Applications are especially encouraged from young women with disabilities, those from rural areas, and members of minority groups.

The British Council will manage the scholarship program in Pakistan, working directly with selected students and universities or through designated university focal persons.

This scholarship scheme, available under the Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme, provides opportunities for:

• Undergraduate studies covering a four-year bachelor's degree at any HEC-recognized university in Pakistan.
• Graduate studies supporting a master's or MPhil degree program of up to two years at any HEC-recognized university in Pakistan.

Award Benefits

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls will provide recipients with the following benefits:

• Coverage of tuition fees for eligible courses.
• Accommodation costs for university hostels (if applicable).
• Travel expenses for two round trips per year between the student's home and university for those living in on-campus hostels.

Eligible Fields of Study

The scholarship will support a four-year bachelor's degree at an HEC-recognized public university in Pakistan within the following subject areas:

• Education
• Sustainable Energy
• Food Security and Agriculture
• Health Sciences
• STEM (only for Master's degree)
