The Year 2024 IDPD theme is "Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future,"

In a graceful ceremony marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), prominent Pakistani leaders and advocates came together to emphasize the importance of inclusivity and accessibility for people with disabilities. The event, organized by the Pakistan Disabled Foundation (PDF) under the leadership of Shahid Memon, brought attention to the need for collective efforts to foster a society that upholds the dignity and rights of all individuals.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor of the National Skills University Islamabad, highlighted his institution's initiatives to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities. "We must look within our communities to ensure that everyone, regardless of disability, has the opportunities and support they need," he remarked, underscoring the principle that fostering inclusivity aligns with the foundational values of a compassionate Muslim society.

Senator Dr. Shahida Rehmani, a vocal advocate for disability rights, echoed this sentiment, reaffirming her commitment to supporting people with disabilities. She assured Mr. Shahid Memon, Chairman of the Pakistan Disabled Foundation, of her dedication to advancing their cause and ensuring institutional backing for inclusive policies.
