Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq along with Vice Chancellors from University of Education Lahore and National Skills University Islamabad initiate Tree Plantation Campaign
Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq has transformed Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) into the leading institution dedicatedly providing education to the country's female population. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor of the National Skills University Islamabad, Pakistan, during his visit to the GCWUF. According to him, It is a unique moment to be in a university where both the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar of the University are his former students. Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha of the University of Education, Lahore, also accompanied Prof. Mukhtar. All three Vice Chancellors interviewed candidates for the position of Registrar, Treasurer, and Controller of Examination.
Prof. Talat Naseer Pasha and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar are recognized as senior academic leaders having experience in leading and developing several higher education institutions in the country. Of note. Mukhtar, in the past, had served as Vice Chancellor of three public and one private universities. Besides this, the US government recognized his services with the Outstanding Scientist Visa Award, where Prof. Mukhtar led the brain in a test tube development model jointly funded by the US National Institutes of Health and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
After interviews, all three Vice Chancellor visited several laboratories of the university, participated in a tree plantation campaign, and prayed for the successes of the GCWUF.
