The University of Southern Punjab (USP) has publicly lauded Pakistan's growing footprint on the global higher education landscape. It has praised the leadership of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), appreciating its Founding Chairman, Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, for his instrumental role in representing Pakistan at the Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX 2025) in Dubai.
For the first time in the history of the GETEX2025 Education Expo, a dedicated Pakistan Pavilion has been established, manifesting a bold new chapter in the internationalization of Pakistani higher education. The pavilion was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Hussain Mohammed, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, and APSUP Chairman Prof. Dr. Rehman; it is being hailed as a hub of innovation, collaboration, and national pride.
A Message from the University of Southern Punjab's Chairman Board of Governors expressed strong support for APSUP's visionary leadership, stating:
"We, as the USP community, are excited to participate in this year's GETEX Education Expo! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and explore new horizons. Let's make the most of this event by sharing ideas and building a brighter future for higher education. Thank you, APSUP and Founding Chairman Prof Dr Ch Abdul Rehman, for always leading the team from the front."
Worth mentioning here is that a senior level delegation from the University of Southern Punjab is also at the GETEX2025.
Prof. Dr. Rehman's delegation, comprising 35 top-tier educationists from Pakistan's leading universities, is a testament to the country's commitment to academic excellence and global collaboration. His presence, strategic coordination, and diplomacy during the Expo have already drawn international recognition.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, UAE, visited the Pakistan Pavilion and engaged in dialogue with Prof. Dr. Rehman. The Minister lauded the initiative as a "significant step forward in the field of education." His words reflected a broader regional appreciation for Pakistan's evolving educational narrative.
Prominent figures attending the inauguration included Trade Attaché Mr. Ali Zaib Khan and representatives from the Pakistan Business Councils of Dubai and Sharjah. Their presence amplified the message that Pakistan's higher education sector is open for business and ready to lead.
