Vice Chancellor, National Skills University Islamabad participating in a meeting on engineering technologists issues chaired by Federal Minister for Science and Technology

The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mr. Shibli Faraz chaired a high-level meeting of the National Technology Council and the Pakistan Engineering Council. Besides several other dignitaries Chairmen of Pakistan Engineering Council and National Technology Council also participated in this meeting. Young Engineering Technologists Associations gave an elaborate presentation on the problems being faced by Engineering Technologists in the country. Both the teams from the PEC and NTC acknowledged hardships being faced by Engineering Technologists and discrimination in job placement irrespective of the fact that both Engineers and Engineering Technologists spend same years to graduate.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor National Skills University Islamabad and Vice Chairman of the National Technology Council suggested to resolve the issue on priority basis and to rectify regulations hindering the technologists’ entry into job markets. He urged to facilitate things on equality basis for both Engineers and Engineering Technologists.

The Federal Minister for Science and Technology showed his interest to visit the National Skills University Islamabad in very near future. The Vice Chancellor of the NSU thanked the Federal Minister for Science and Technology.
