National Skills University Islamabad Seeks a Broader Partnership with Türkiye in Education, Innovation, and Technology

Efforts to deepen the longstanding partnership between the National Skills University Islamabad and Türkiye gained renewed momentum during a high-level meeting between members of Türkiye Alumni Pakistan (TULIP) and Dr. Irfan Neziroğlu, with education, innovation, renewable energy, defense cooperation, and youth engagement identified as key pillars for future collaboration.
The TULIP delegation, led by its President, Mr. Saif Ul Islam Khan, met with the Turkish envoy to explore new avenues to expand institutional partnerships and strengthen the people-to-people ties that have long defined the relationship between the two nations.
Speaking on behalf of the National Skills University, Islamabad, Dr. Irfan Ahmad Gondal emphasized the transformative role of higher education and skills development in advancing bilateral cooperation. He highlighted significant opportunities for Pakistan and Türkiye to collaborate in renewable energy, defense technologies, applied research, industrial innovation, technology development, and human resource capacity building.
The discussions underscored the complementary strengths of both countries and the potential to translate decades of diplomatic goodwill into practical partnerships that drive economic growth, scientific advancement, and technological self-reliance.
The meeting also explored expanding collaboration across education, cultural exchange, trade, and youth leadership initiatives, recognizing that sustained academic and institutional engagement remains a cornerstone of the Pakistan–Türkiye relationship.
Prof. Dr. Saud Altaf, Vice Chancellor, National Skills University Islamabad, appreciated the engagement, stating that such high-level interactions reflect the university's commitment to strengthening international academic partnerships and promoting skills diplomacy. It also aligns with the vision of the Founding Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar. Dr. Altaf, in his message, said:
"National Skills University Islamabad is committed to building meaningful global partnerships that create opportunities for our students, faculty, and researchers. Türkiye has long been one of Pakistan's closest friends, and we greatly value initiatives that deepen collaboration in higher education, innovation, renewable energy, defense technologies, and skills development. Dr. Gondal expressed appreciation to Ambassador Neziroğlu for his warm hospitality and constructive dialogue, calling the meeting an important step toward strengthening institutional ties between the two countries. He also acknowledged the contributions of fellow TULIP members Mr. Usman Shehzad, Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Tariq Khan, and Ms. Maryam Fatima, who were part of the delegation.
