The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has launched an intensive two-week training program in Islamabad to enhance Associate Professors' academic and leadership capacities nationwide.

This specialized professional development initiative is designed to strengthen teaching methodologies, advance research skills, and cultivate leadership among academic professionals at higher education institutions.

Held at the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), the training brings together experienced faculty members from various universities, offering a collaborative learning and professional exchange environment. The program includes interactive workshops, expert-led sessions, and practical activities focused on pedagogical innovation, academic writing, research management, and institutional governance.

"This program is part of our broader strategy to empower faculty with modern tools and knowledge so they can better serve the academic community and contribute meaningfully to national development," said an HEC representative during the inaugural session.

Participants found the opportunity to engage with national experts and peers in discussions on evolving educational challenges and opportunities inspiring. Many described the training as impactful and timely, especially in the context of ongoing reforms in Pakistan's higher education sector.

The HEC's commitment to building the capacity of academic professionals and ensuring that universities remain vibrant centers of learning, research, and leadership is unwavering.
